Job Overview

Nedbank is seeking a seasoned Area Manager for Retail and Relationship Banking Acquisition to drive regional business development and sales leadership in Menlyn, Pretoria. This key role focuses on executing strategy, managing acquisition growth, maintaining client satisfaction, and leading high-performance teams in line with Nedbank’s operational standards and brand promise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead strategic acquisition plans to grow regional market share.
  • Oversee relationship management, client service excellence, and acquisition activities.
  • Ensure operational efficiency, process control, and regulatory compliance. Area Manager
  • Analyse business data to identify trends and propose performance-enhancing solutions.
  • Build, manage, and develop a strong leadership pipeline through structured coaching and mentoring. Area Manager
  • Support financial discipline, credit risk controls, and sustainable lending practices.

Candidate Profile

Minimum Qualifications (NQF 6)

  • Matric / National Senior Certificate
  • Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Marketing

Preferred

  • BCom or CAIB (Certified Associate of the Institute of Bankers)
  • FAIS-compliant qualification (minimum of 120 credits)

Experience Requirements

  • At least 4–5 years of experience in relationship management within the financial services industry.
  • Minimum 5 years in Small Business Banking, Business Banking, or Private Banking.
  • 2–3 years in a people leadership role such as Team Lead, Manager, or 2IC.
