SASKO BAKERY DELIVERY ASSISTANT KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for keeping a close eye on the stock and ensuring any incidents or accidents are reported promptly. Managing proof of delivery (POD), following safe work practices, and maintaining a tidy workspace is also part of your duties.
You must adhere to standard operating procedures and support the driver in loading and unloading products. Safety is a top priority, so you’ll assist in maneuvering the vehicle safely for deliveries.
When interacting with customers, your tasks include loading and unloading, securing loads properly during transit, and promptly reporting any property damage. Additionally, you’ll lend a hand with paperwork management wherever needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- Matric is essential
- Code 10 or higher valid driver’s license with PrDP will be an advantage
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities – effective in handling and interacting with customers
- Familiarity with local streets, neighborhoods and routes
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- The ability to work flexible hours
- The ability to lift heavy objects
- Strong work ethic
- Neatly presented at all times
